Mudanças nos formulários de visto dos EUA
Olá Pessoal,
Como já devem estar cientes, houveram algumas mudanças na solicitação para visto americano. Abaixo colocamos uma nota com as principais mudanças.
MUDANÇA NA SOLICITAÇÃO DE VISTO PARA OS ESTADOS UNIDOS
A partir do dia 5 de Abril, 2010, a Embaixada e Consulados Americanos no Brasil iniciarão novos procedimentos para a solicitação de vistos americanos. O novo procedimento representa o primeiro passo de um trabalho contínuo que visa melhorar o processo de solicitação de vistos e reduzir o tempo despendido pelos solicitantes durante o processo de solicitação de vistos.
O novo procedimento exigirá que TODOS os solicitantes preencham o formulário eletrônico DS-160 com pelo menos 48 horas de antecedência da data de agendamento da entrevista. Clique aqui para acessar o formulário:

O novo procedimento também exigirá que TODOS os solicitantes façam o upload de fotos no Formulário DS-160. As fotos devem estar de acordo com as seguintes normas http://travel.state.gov/visa/guide/guide_3882.html
Para os requerentes será enviado documento similar em português com explicações.
Resumo das mudanças:
1 – O formulário de visto deve ter seu preenchimento correto em todos os campos, incluindo a foto eletrônica; caso contrário o agendamento será cancelado e será necessário o reagendamento de entrevista para data posterior e disponível.
2 – Pagamento da taxa consular (CITIBANK) deverá ser feita com no mínimo 5 dias úteis de antecedência. Não haverá mais possibilidade de pagamentos no próprio consulado da taxa de visto.
3 – No dia da entrevista todos os solicitantes deverão apresentar a página de confirmação do formulário DS-160, página de confirmação do agendamento, foto em papel tamanho 5x5cm, comprovante da taxa CITIBANK paga, passaporte e documentos para visto.
4 – Desde 15 de março esses procedimentos já estão sendo testados, sendo que serão obrigatórios a partir de 5 de abril.
5 – O formulário DS-160 substituirá os formulários DS-156, DS-157, DS-158 e deve ser feito no mínimo 48 horas úteis antes da data de entrevista. Este formulário é eletrônico e no site há apenas informações em inglês. Para tradução basta posicionar o cursor do mouse no item que deseja e a tradução aparecerá.
6 – Há necessidade da foto digital no formulário DS-160
7 – Formulário enviado (submetido eletronicamente) não haverá como realizar alterações. Se informações erradas forem passadas o visto poderá ser rejeitado.
8 – O requerente não levará consigo o formulário impresso no ato da entrevista bastará apenas a confirmação do preenchimento gerada, com o código de barras do processo.
9 – O agendamento da entrevista e comparecimento no consulado permanece obrigatório.
10 – Os vistos de estudante e intercâmbio, assim como de trabalho, ainda necessitam de formulários específicos (DS-2019, petições, I-20, etc).
Taxas consulares
Houve alteração nos valores de câmbio das taxas cobradas pelo consulado. Atualmente o câmbio cobrado pelo consulado foi afixado em 1,80. Portanto, seguem as taxas abaixo?

TAXA RECIPROCIDADE ESTUDOS USD 40 R$ 72,00
TAXA RECIPROCIDADE NEGOCIOS USD 60 R$ 108,00
TAXA DE ENTREVISTA R$ 38,00
